WELL, that’s a wrap on 6 months of travelling + WELL, that’s a wrap on 6 months of travelling + DTS🤙🏽 14 planes, one graduation, a million covid tests + 4 different locations later and all I can say is - it’s been a WILD RIDE and an awesome time of healing, joy + Jesus🤙🏽 I’m super thankful for this sweet sweet season and all that it brought. for adventure, for friends that became family, for our leaders, for all of the inside jokes, ugly crying + powerful times of prayer + provision🙌🏽 God’s been teaching me so much about His character through so many different situations and through the people we encountered. this past week has been a combination of visiting this past week has been a combination of visiting local juvenile centres and doing ministry with kids, helping the local community in response to the mudslides that hit Quito and managing to have the most awesome off day bathing in hot springs 💧 there have been so many highlights✨ I’ll let you in on a few: one of my favourites was while helping at the mudslides some of our team were able to pray for a woman who was experiencing back pain a month before and was unable to help us shovel her front yard (a part of her house that was) the guy who led the prayer had also called for a medic to assess her, by the time she had arrived her back had been completely HEALED! the medic confirmed it and the lady said “maybe you could check my blood pressure instead?” after that we each gave a word for her + she was super grateful because she felt the presence of Jesus and we were all ECSTATIC that we were able to witness Him move like that! other highlights include telling a vulnerable part of my testimony to young women in a juvenile centre, hearing my friends share parts of their story too + being able to bless people by serving the community🏡 we now have 10 days left nearly of outreach until we’re back in LA and GRADUATING👩🏻‍🎓 time is FLYING by but it’s turning out to be an unforgettable experience ✨ • • • #ywam #adventure #mission #outreach #quito #ecuador🇪🇨 #ecuador
hiiii👋🏽📝 Ecuador has been amazing + it’s only been 1 week🎉 we’ve had so many awesome opportunities to partner with @cmsecuador that help victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking in Ecuador (and more!). this ministry is really going after Jesus’ heart for people and they love everyone so well - it’s an amazing organisation to be a part of! we’ve also had an amazing chance to partner with an awesome kids ministry that consistently meet every Saturday to tell the kids all about the gospel, pray for them + bring the joy of Jesus to them wherever they’re at 🎈 one of the most impactful moments have been handing out food packages and praying for victims of sex trafficking - we pray each time to wholeheartedly love and see them like Jesus does and He breaks our heart for them each time. another was being able to worship, play games with and share part of my testimony to young girls in a juvenile detention centre. God’s been really putting on my heart the word “freedom” specifically from worry, fear and anxiety - something I have to daily bring to the cross and surrender so it’s amazing to share something that I’m currently healing and going through, trusting that Jesus is going to be there with open arms every. single. time. ✨ yall, Jesus is AMAZING 🥰 • • • #ywam #missions #adventure #faith #hope #jesus #outreach #ywamla #ecuador
𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎’𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝟸𝟽 🎈 • 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎’𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝟸𝟽 🎈 • starting off with breakfast made by @doodletilidie, a letter + card written by @addiealdersonn + @alishasamira followed by ministry at El Hormiguero, lunch, a beaut card from @derksenjenna.jd, watching Mr and Mrs Smith, one on one in a coffee shop, FaceTiming family + a surprise party! ✨ tonight consisted of Jesus, Chinese food, games, cake, photoshoot, just dance + churros🤙🏽 I’m learning that Jesus is faithful in every season, that His timing is so much better than my own, to stop putting Him in a box, to keep using my voice to speak life, to be a prayer warrior + to not live in fear. there’s so much more, I could ramble on for eternity but for now, in this present moment I’m thankful for family, friends that greeted me on my birthday and in particular today, my DTS familia, I love each of you deeply + you guys really knocked it out the park! thank you for loving me so well today despite being so far away from home - I love you guys! 😊❤️ • • • #party
𝚏𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕 𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚣𝚒𝚕🇧🇷👋🏼 • yesterday we said goodbye to Brazil - what an awesome first month of outreach we’ve had. the people here are beautiful, everyone that we encountered made this outreach trip such an authentic and rich experience. God’s been using us to bless, pray and minister to so many people and we’ve also been able to bond + unite as a team even in super crappy times - it’s family and I love that🙏🏼 Brazil you’ll forever remind me of: • stepping out in boldness • how beautiful + kind the people are here • GREAT açai (like everyday) • guaraná 🥤 • stroganoffe • your openness to prayer + the gospel • the way you really value time with each other • the heat • the air con • saying “obrigada” There’s so much more to say but for now obrigada, thank you for making my first experience in South America unforgettable 😊🌊 P.s - I’ve captured our last few ministry moments on @the_chronicles_of_ros so feel free to check that out!✨ P.p.s - for now we’ve landed in 📍Quito, Ecuador for the next part of outreach Lord knows it took a lot to get us all here but we made it! Macaé, Brazil 🇧🇷 you were amazing, we love Macaé, Brazil 🇧🇷 you were amazing, we loved going out into the community and sharing the love of Jesus, sharing words of knowledge, having conversations with people! one of the most memorable nights was doing anti-trafficking ministry at night, we talked to a lot of women that night and one really felt the presence of Jesus. further into the night we met another woman, it was a grind you could definitely feel the spiritual warfare but it was amazing to see the contrast of Hope in the darkness. Jesus definitely meant for us to be there 💡 we held evangelism workshops, encouraged the youth, inspired them to be bold and unashamed in sharing the gospel. Two of our students preached at church services, we all shared testimonies, had a q+a session, led worship + more🤙🏽 The hospitality that was shown here was above and beyond what we could ever expect! the way that the families and the church have served us really echoes the heart of the father🙏🏼 as well as that we had an off day that was spent eating + going to the beach 🏝 🎉
📍 𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚣𝚒𝚕 • HI FRIENDS, our 📍 𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚣𝚒𝚕 • HI FRIENDS, our first week in Brazil has been amazing. we’ve met so many wonderful people + have been trying our best to learn the culture and the language. here are moments captured of us doing ministry each day this week + also enjoying downtime. we’ve had the incredible privilege to cry with grieving families on home visits, pray for healing and a stirring up in faith for people during street evangelism and God has been so faithful in turning up and speaking through us. for many of us we’ve been stepping out in boldness + courage and there have been times when it’s been difficult, when we miss our families or we’ve been too tired but there’s so much grace in just being obedient and showing up. there’s not been one ministry moment where He hasn’t shown a glimmer of His character through something. whether that’s been a child’s laugh when they hear our accent or a woman crying because someone’s word of knowledge was too personal not to be from an all-knowing God. We’ve also had the opportunity to do anti-trafficking ministry in dark places because God told us to. We wrote notes of how they are seen and not forgotten, worthy of being truly loved and known by a God who cares about their hearts. What a privilege it was to be able to bring joy, light and God’s loving kindness in our eyes and leaving His peace wherever we go. Tonight we’re leading a church service!
